Privacy

Privacy.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your conversations to train outside models. You can export and delete your data at any time.

What we keep.

What we don’t keep.

The word-for-word transcript of an everyday visit is deleted the night of the visit, after your companion has written its notes. Visits you hold in My Stories are kept until you delete them.

“Help my companion learn” is off unless you turn it on. If you turn it on, your everyday transcripts are kept for 90 days (only while “Let my companion grow with me” is also on) so that, when we add learning from past conversations, your companion can learn what suits you. Nothing learns from them yet; we will tell you here when something does. They are used only by the system that runs your companion, are not shown to anyone, and your companion does not quote them back to you. Turn it off and they are deleted (stories you chose to keep stay). After 90 days they are deleted for everyone.

Who can see what.

You. The AI services that hold the conversation and write the notes (they process what you say to answer you; we do not let them train on it). The founder — today our only staff member — when you ask us to look into a problem, or when a safety check needs a human look. No one else. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.

Export and delete.

You can export your stories from your account page at any time. You can also delete your account at any time, which removes your data within 30 days.

Children.

Our Aria is for adults. We do not knowingly accept accounts from children under 18.

Common questions about safety.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes. Both when it travels between your phone and our servers, and when it sits in our database. The encryption is handled by the same kind of industry-standard infrastructure that banks and hospitals use.

Can anyone at your company read my stories?

The AI services that run the conversation, to do the work you’ve asked of them. The founder (today our only staff member) when you ask us to look into a problem, or when a safety check needs a human look. No one else.

What happens if you get hacked?

We follow industry-standard breach-response procedures, including notifying affected users within the timelines required by law (within 72 hours under European rules; comparable timelines under California rules). Our infrastructure runs on the same cloud providers used by major financial and healthcare apps.

Can I delete everything you have on me?

Yes. In the app’s Settings, “Delete account” removes your conversations and stories within 30 days. A small set of financial records (purchases, refunds) and safety records are kept with your name and email removed, for tax and safety reasons.

Where are my stories stored?

On servers in the United States, run by a major cloud provider. Backups are encrypted and retained for a short window for disaster recovery; after that window, deleted stories are gone.
